Our Team

Pastor Steve Skinner

I was born in Dallas, Texas, and graduated from R.L. Turner High School in Carrollton, Texas, where I met my wife, Kathy. We have been married 41 years. We have two sons, Jonathan, who is married to Amanda. He teaches fourth grade at an elementary school in Fort Worth. Our other son Michael attends college at UNT in Denton. We enjoy camping in the mountains of Colorado, as well hunting, fishing, and gardening. As I begin my journey with God’s people at Era FBC, please know that my passion is to joyfully lead and feed God’s people to grow in Grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus through the preaching and teaching of His inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word. In this way, we are enabled to live as healthy and reproducing disciples who love the Lord Jesus, walking daily by the power of the Spirit, evangelizing all people everywhere by sharing of the glorious, good news of salvation freely offered by grace, through faith, in Christ alone, all to the glory of God!

Trent Hipp

I grew up in the San Antonio area and graduated from Navarro High School in Geronimo, TX. For college, I went to Dallas Baptist University (BA in Biblical Studies) and I am currently going to Liberty University (MA in Biblical Languages). I also worked with Glowing Heart Ministries throughout college and that is how I got connected with Era FBC. I enjoy reading, hiking, and cooking. I am excited to get to serve the Youth by leading them into deeper relationships with Christ and cultivating a community amongst young believers.

Rowdy Whited

Rowdy is a godly man that has so much talent and blesses Era FBC by serving as the Worship Leader. He started this role while still in high school and he has lead worship ever since. He is a devoted young man and we sure do love having him as part of Era FBC.
